Ghatampur Tehsil in Kanpur District Achieves International Quality Milestone
In a significant development for administrative excellence in Uttar Pradesh, Ghatampur tehsil under Kanpur district has been honored with the prestigious international quality certification ISO 9001:2015. This certification recognizes the tehsil's commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and streamlined functioning across its administrative services.
Official Presentation and Recognition
The certificate was formally presented by ISO representative Ramdhan Gautam to District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh during a ceremony held on Saturday. Congratulating Sub-Divisional Magistrate Abichal Pratap Singh and the entire tehsil team, District Magistrate Singh hailed this achievement as a landmark moment for local governance.
With this recognition, Ghatampur has become the first tehsil in the entire Kanpur district to receive ISO certification, setting a new benchmark for administrative efficiency and quality assurance in the region.
Scope and Validity of the Certification
Under the ISO 9001:2015 framework, several key administrative activities in Ghatampur tehsil were meticulously evaluated and found to be in compliance with prescribed international quality standards. The certification was officially issued on March 6 and will remain valid until March 5, 2029, ensuring a five-year period of certified quality management.
Simultaneous Initiatives for Public Welfare
The certification ceremony coincided with two important public service initiatives organized in Ghatampur tehsil:
- Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas: A comprehensive grievance redressal day was held under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh. A large number of complainants attended to have their public grievances addressed. Out of 228 cases received during the Samadhan Diwas, an impressive 22 were resolved on the spot, demonstrating the tehsil's responsive administrative approach.
- Special Camp for Physically Challenged Persons: As part of the Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas activities, a dedicated camp was organized for physically challenged individuals. At this camp, 71 disabled people underwent thorough medical examinations conducted by specialist doctors from the Disability Board, highlighting the tehsil's inclusive approach to public service.
This dual focus on achieving international quality certification while simultaneously addressing immediate public needs through targeted initiatives underscores Ghatampur tehsil's comprehensive approach to administrative excellence and community service.
