Madhubani DM Orders Swift Resolution of Pending Cases, Land Disputes
Madhubani DM Directs Fast Clearance of Pending Cases

In a decisive move to accelerate administrative and developmental work, Madhubani District Magistrate (DM) Anand Sharma on Monday issued strict directives to senior officials for the swift clearance of pending cases, long-standing land disputes, and public grievances.

Strict Directives for Expedited Governance

Chairing the weekly review meeting at the district headquarters, DM Sharma expressed strong dissatisfaction over procedural delays and coordination gaps among departments. He reprimanded the attending senior officers and emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards inaction.

The district magistrate ordered immediate action on several critical fronts, including problems related to land acquisition, removal of encroachments, boundary demarcations, and the issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs). He specifically highlighted that these issues were major bottlenecks for rural development works, irrigation projects, and flood control initiatives.

Digital Portal Mandate for Transparency

To ensure transparency and faster tracking, Sharma mandated that all such issues must be uploaded onto the Madhubani First portal for quick resolution by the Additional District Magistrate (Revenue). "Delays will not be tolerated," he warned, instructing the ADM (Revenue) to monitor the portal closely.

The comprehensive review also covered several other pressing matters:

  • High Court Cases: Sharma warned against any laxity in handling court matters, stating that accountability would be fixed for negligence.
  • Auction Disputes: Officers were told to prioritize major auction cases, with a special focus on the top ten defaulters. The DM instructed officials to ensure proper demand notices are issued before proceeding with warrant actions.
  • Janata Darbar Applications: Applications received during public hearings were reviewed for timely disposal.
  • Retirement Benefits: In a significant employee-friendly directive, Sharma ordered that retirement benefit processing must begin six months in advance to ensure same-day payouts for retiring officials.

Push for Complete Digital Workflow

In a major push towards digital efficiency and paperless governance, District Magistrate Anand Sharma directed all departments to exclusively use the e-office system for all official work and file movements. This move aims to reduce physical file delays and enhance accountability.

The high-level meeting saw the participation of key district officials including District Development Commissioner Suman Prasad Sah, Additional District Magistrates Mukesh Ranjan Jha and Santosh Kumar, Municipal Commissioner Umesh Bharti, and other senior officers.

DM Sharma concluded the session by making it unequivocally clear that his administration would be strict, result-oriented, and focused on tangible public service delivery. The directives signal a renewed push for administrative efficiency in the Madhubani district.
