Mandya Minister Asks Govt Employees to Be Admin-Public Bridge

Mandya: District minister N Cheluvarayaswamy on Wednesday emphasized that government employees must act as an effective bridge between the administration and the public, ensuring that welfare schemes and government benefits reach every eligible citizen in a timely manner. He made these remarks while addressing the Government Employees’ Day and Civil Services Day celebrations held at Dr BR Ambedkar Bhavan. The event also marked the inauguration of the 'Sarvottama Seva Awards’ programme, organized jointly by the district administration, zilla panchayat, and the Karnataka State Government Employees Association.

Local Employees Have Greater Responsibility

The minister observed that nearly 16,000 of the 18,000 government employees serving in Mandya district belong to the local region, and therefore have a greater responsibility toward the district’s development. He urged officials and staff to work with dedication, honesty, and accountability while addressing public grievances.

MLA Pledges Funds for Bhavans

Mandya MLA P Ravikumar called upon government employees to maintain a positive and service-oriented attitude while dealing with the public. He also pledged Rs 5 lakh for the construction of Teachers’ Bhavan and assured that efforts would be made to secure a grant of Rs 1 crore for the Government Employees’ Bhavan after discussions with the chief minister.
