Mizoram District Commissioner Meets Chakma Council Officials After Governor's Rule Extension

Lawngtlai district commissioner Donny Lalruatsanga visited the Chakma Autonomous District Council headquarters in Kamalanagar on Friday. This visit occurred just five days after Mizoram governor Gen Vijay Kumar Singh extended governor's rule in the CADC for another six months.

Commitment to Smooth Functioning During Caretaker Period

During his visit, Lalruatsanga held a meeting with CADC executive secretary Pronit Bikash Chakma and other officers at the CADC Conference Hall. The deputy commissioner expressed his strong commitment to ensuring smooth and effective administration during his tenure as CADC caretaker.

"ADC areas possess immense potential for development," Lalruatsanga stated during the meeting. "However, misuse of authority could be harmful to this progress."

Emphasis on Responsible Governance

The district commissioner urged all officials to exercise their powers with responsibility, transparency, and good judgment. He reminded CADC officers that they serve as public servants first and foremost.

Lalruatsanga emphasized several key principles for effective governance:

  • Maintaining integrity in all official dealings
  • Upholding discipline within the administration
  • Conduct worthy of public trust at all times

Focus on Professional Conduct

The deputy commissioner stressed the importance of punctuality and proper time management. He advised officers to attend office regularly and arrive on time for their duties.

Highlighting the value of honesty and dedication, Lalruatsanga cautioned against using official authority for personal gain. He encouraged contentment with lawful earnings and emphasized ethical conduct in public service.

"Officials must remember they serve the public," the district commissioner noted. "Their actions should always reflect this responsibility."

The meeting concluded with a renewed focus on transparent administration during the extended governor's rule period. Officials discussed practical measures to implement the commissioner's guidance in their daily work.
