Mysuru MP Yaduveer Wadiyar Urges NHAI to Speed Up Key Infrastructure Projects

Mysore MP Yaduveer Wadiyar has called on the National Highways Authority of India to accelerate crucial infrastructure developments in Mysuru. He specifically highlighted the urgent need for a flyover at Kempegowda Circle, also known as Manipal Junction, on the busy Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway.

Meeting with NHAI Officials in Delhi

Yaduveer Wadiyar recently met Umashankar, the secretary of NHAI, in Delhi. During this meeting, he submitted a formal representation requesting swift action on this long-delayed project. The MP emphasized the strategic importance of constructing the flyover at one of the city's most congested intersections.

He argued that completing this flyover would bring multiple benefits. It would improve traffic management significantly. The project would reduce road accidents at the junction. It would also ease traffic congestion and cut travel time for commuters entering or leaving Mysuru. Overall, it promises smoother and safer vehicle movement.

Discussions on Service Roads and Local Connectivity

Beyond the flyover, Yaduveer Wadiyar also discussed other infrastructure needs. He talked about building service roads along the Mysuru-Kushalnagar Highway. These roads are essential for enhancing local connectivity. They would provide better access to nearby residential and commercial areas, supporting community growth.

Positive Response and Acknowledgment

The MP expressed satisfaction with the positive response from NHAI officials. He described the flyover project as a major milestone for Mysuru's infrastructure development. Yaduveer Wadiyar also extended his gratitude to key leaders. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari. He appreciated NHAI officials for sanctioning several development projects in the Mysuru constituency, which covers Mysuru and Kodagu districts.

This push for faster infrastructure work reflects ongoing efforts to modernize Mysuru's transport network. It aims to address daily commuter challenges and boost regional connectivity.
