Panchkula Traffic Advisory for MC Vote Counting May 13

The Panchkula traffic police have issued a special advisory ahead of the municipal corporation election vote counting scheduled at Government Girls Postgraduate College, Sector 14, on May 13. The advisory will remain in force from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM to ensure smooth and secure arrangements during the counting process.

Road Closures and Restrictions

As part of the security measures, the road stretch from Valmiki Chowk to the Sector-14 industrial area cut will be closed to the public. Additionally, access from the Sector-12A to Sector-12A/14 dividing road will be restricted. Only authorized vehicles, election staff, and officials on duty will be permitted entry into the restricted zone.

Parking Arrangements

ACP (Traffic) Surender Singh confirmed that parking facilities for counting staff, police personnel, administrative officers, candidates, and counting agents have been arranged at the municipal corporation office in Sector 14. Additional police and traffic personnel will be deployed around the counting centre to regulate traffic and maintain order throughout the day.

Advisory for Residents

Residents have been advised to use alternative routes and cooperate with the authorities to avoid inconvenience. The public is urged to plan their travel accordingly and follow the instructions of traffic personnel on the ground.
