Patliputra University (PPU) has transferred and posted eight principals across its constituent colleges in a major reshuffle announced on Saturday. The decision was taken during a meeting of the university’s transfer committee, chaired by Vice-Chancellor Upendra Prasad Singh.
Key Transfers and Appointments
According to PPU Registrar Abu Bakar, the notification issued after the meeting outlines several key changes. Ratna Amrit, who was serving as the principal of BD College, has been transferred and appointed as the principal of AN College in Patna. Rekha Rani, previously the principal of RRS College in Mokama, has been posted as the principal of Arvind Mahila College in Patna. Similarly, Sunita Roy, the principal of MM College in Bikram, has been moved to the College of Commerce, Arts and Science in Patna as its new principal.
Shyama Roy, the principal of ANS College in Barh, has been shifted to Ganga Devi Mahila College in Patna. In another transfer, Vijay Laxmi, who was serving as the principal of Ganga Devi Mahila College, has been posted as the principal of MM College in Bikram. Diwakar Prasad, the principal of RKD College in Patna, has been transferred to BD College in Patna as its principal.
Notable Appointments
Former Magadh University Vice-Chancellor Shashi Pratap Shahi, who was recently relieved from his post, has been appointed as the principal of ANS College in Barh. Meanwhile, Shailja Sinha, currently a professor of Sanskrit at RKD College, has been posted as the professor-in-charge of the same college.
The registrar stated that the reshuffle is aimed at strengthening academic administration and ensuring efficient functioning of constituent colleges across the university. This move is expected to bring fresh leadership to several institutions and enhance the overall educational environment.
