Patna: Nearly half of the complaints related to Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) received at Sahyog camps on Tuesday were resolved on the spot, officials said. Of the 161 PMC-related applications submitted at the camps, 77 were disposed of immediately, translating to an on-the-spot resolution rate of about 48%.
A total of 279 applications were received at the camps organised across all six municipal circles. While 161 applications pertained to PMC services, the remaining 118 were related to other government departments. All applications were registered on the Sahyog portal, and applicants were issued referral numbers to track the status of their complaints.
Circle-Wise Performance
Patliputra circle recorded the highest number of applications at 86, followed by Bankipur with 78. Patna City received 22 applications but registered the highest on-the-spot disposal rate, resolving 16 of the 19 complaints related to the civic body. As many as 24 complaints were resolved in Patliputra circle, while Bankipur disposed of 21. Nutan Rajdhani resolved eight complaints, and Azimabad and Kankarbagh resolved four each.
Elected Representatives Engage with Residents
Elected representatives, including MLAs, the mayor, deputy mayor and ward councillors, attended the camps along with civic officials and interacted directly with residents to hear their grievances. The civic body said facilities such as drinking water and fans were arranged at the camp venues, and health camps were also organised.
PMC officials said efforts were being made through the Sahyog initiative to ensure quicker redressal of civic complaints and improve citizen services.
