Telangana to Integrate Revenue, Stamps & Survey on Single Digital Platform by Jan
Telangana to merge revenue depts on single digital platform

In a significant move aimed at overhauling land and revenue administration, the Telangana government has announced plans to consolidate three key departments onto a unified digital platform. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy stated on Monday that the state is working to integrate the revenue, stamps and registration, and survey departments into a single system.

One-Click Access to Village-Level Data

The integrated system will be linked with the existing Bhu Bharati portal, creating a one-stop digital window for citizens. Minister Reddy explained that once operational, the platform will allow users to access comprehensive village-level information with just a single click. This includes vital documents and data such as village maps, survey numbers and their corresponding maps, mutation details, registration records, nala orders, and the village naksha.

Highlighting the ease of access, the minister noted that users will be able to log in to the portal using their mobile numbers, simplifying the authentication process. The government is targeting a rollout of this new, streamlined system starting January next year. The primary goals are to enhance transparency, improve operational efficiency, and ensure faster delivery of services to the public.

Minister Directs Modernization of Land Administration Office

The announcement followed Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy's visit to the office of the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA) in Hyderabad. During his interaction with officials, the minister expressed clear dissatisfaction with the current condition and maintenance of the office facilities.

He issued directives to the officials to immediately begin work on modernizing the office infrastructure. This move is seen as part of the broader push to digitize and improve the working environment of departments that handle critical public services.

Review of Pending Land Records and Cases

During his review, Minister Reddy pointed out a major longstanding issue in land records administration. He revealed that although the state government had acquired land from private individuals for various development projects over the years, the corresponding land records have not been updated for decades.

To address this and other irregularities, the government will soon initiate a comprehensive review. This exercise will focus on three key areas: assigned lands, Bhoodan lands, and select vigilance cases involving employees of the revenue department. The review is expected to bring clarity, rectify discrepancies, and ensure that official records reflect the true, current status of land holdings across the state.

The integration of these departments on a shared digital platform is poised to be a transformative step in Telangana's governance model. By reducing silos and making information easily accessible, it aims to minimize delays and corruption, ultimately benefiting citizens who interact with these crucial services regularly.
