Trichy: The Tamil Nadu Anna University Teachers Association (TNAUTA) has urged the university to promptly complete the long-pending absorption process and career advancement scheme (CAS) promotions for eligible faculty members.
Governing Body Resolution
The governing body, which met on Sunday, resolved to urge the university administration to finalize all pending promotion cases without further delay. Members highlighted that CAS applications invited in June 2023 remain unresolved three years later, causing hardship and professional stagnation among eligible faculty.
Concerns Over Prolonged Delays
The association expressed concern over the prolonged delay in the absorption process, which began in 2012 but remains incomplete after 14 years. This has adversely affected service benefits and career progression of several eligible faculty members. If necessary, the association will take up their grievances with the higher education minister and chief minister.
TNAUTA president R Prabakaran, general secretary R Udhayakumar, and Trichy campus president B Manikandan were among those present at the meeting.
