A routine afternoon turned into a devastating tragedy for a family in Dharagiri village, Navsari, as two young brothers were discovered dead inside an abandoned car near their home. The incident has left the entire village in shock and mourning.
Details of the Incident
Kairav Jogi, aged 5, and Abhimanyu Jogi, aged 3, were the sons of Tejal Jogi, a resident of Dharagiri village. On Wednesday afternoon, the boys left their home, reportedly to relieve themselves, but failed to return. Their mother, Tejal, initially continued with her household chores, assuming the children were playing nearby.
When the boys remained missing for an extended period, Tejal, along with neighbors, initiated a search in the vicinity. Later in the evening, a female waste collector alerted the family that two boys were lying inside an old car near a garage close to the house. Tejal and others rushed to the spot and found both boys motionless inside the vehicle. They were immediately taken to a private hospital, but doctors declared them dead upon arrival.
Preliminary Investigation
Initial inquiries revealed that the car had been abandoned and unused near the garage for a long time. Police suspect that the children may have been playing, opened the car door, and climbed inside but were unable to get out, leading to suffocation or heatstroke. The exact cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem examination.
Family Background
Police stated that Tejal has been living separately from her husband, Sudhir, for the past three years. She works as a laborer to support the family. An unnatural death case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to ascertain all circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
