UP Cabinet Approves MoU for Cow Shelter in Jhansi

The Uttar Pradesh state cabinet, during its meeting on Wednesday, gave the green light to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Daya Bhavana Foundation. This agreement aims to set up cow shelters and veterinary facilities on a five-acre plot of land owned by the animal husbandry department in Jhansi.

Key Aspects of the Agreement

Under the terms of the MoU, the foundation will bear the entire cost of constructing a veterinary hospital and conducting related activities. This includes providing free medical treatment to injured animals, particularly cattle that are hurt on highways or referred by the department or district administration.

Development of Facilities

After the veterinary hospital is built, the remaining land will be used to develop a cowshed for destitute cattle. The project also includes the cultivation of green fodder to ensure proper maintenance of the cattle.
