Western Railway Boosts Crew Welfare with New Facilities

The Mumbai Central division of Western Railway has implemented a comprehensive welfare system for motormen and train managers, focusing on rest facilities, counselling support, and medical awareness programmes, according to Western Railway Chief Spokesperson Vineet Abhishek on Sunday.

Integrated Crew Lobbies

Fully air-conditioned Integrated Crew Lobbies have been established at Churchgate, Borivali, and Virar stations. These lobbies feature ergonomically designed seating, RO and cooler drinking water, and recreational amenities like chess and carrom boards.

Running Rooms and Yoga Facilities

The division also provides 12 air-conditioned running rooms in the suburban section for night halts between duty shifts. Yoga-cum-Tranquility Rooms at the Churchgate, Borivali, and Virar lobbies help crew members relax, meditate, and manage stress.
