Prayagraj: Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to reduce diesel and petrol consumption, promote environmental conservation, and encourage a healthy lifestyle, leaders and workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday carried out their organizational duties using motorcycles, bicycles, and public transportation.
BJP Leaders Lead by Example
BJP’s Mahanagar president, Sanjay Gupta, commuted to his office on a motorcycle, setting an example for others. Other office bearers and workers, including district vice presidents, general secretaries, spokesmen, and district secretaries, also conducted organizational work using two-wheelers instead of cars.
Appeal to Citizens
The Mahanagar president appealed to every citizen to contribute to national interest and environmental conservation by commuting on a motorcycle one day a week, a bicycle on another, or opting for alternative modes of transport. Party spokespersons Pawan Srivastava and Vivek Mishra also urged city residents to come forward in response to the prime minister’s appeal to protect the environment and reduce the use of petrol and diesel.
This initiative aligns with the central government’s broader efforts to curb fuel consumption and promote sustainable living. By adopting eco-friendly commuting practices, the BJP aims to set a precedent for other political parties and citizens alike.
