Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Host Virtual Dialogue with 15,000 Youths Nationwide
In a significant national engagement initiative, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to interact virtually with 15,000 selected youths from various states and Union territories, including Bihar, on April 13. This interactive session marks the concluding day of the two-day 'Mera Yuva Bharat' Budget Quest, a comprehensive program designed to involve young citizens in budgetary discussions and policy formulation processes.
Nationwide Participation Across 17 Strategic Locations
The virtual interaction will span across 17 carefully selected locations throughout India, creating a truly national platform for youth engagement. From Bihar alone, 838 exceptional youths aged between 15 and 29 years have been chosen to participate in this landmark dialogue focusing on various aspects of the Union Budget. These participants represent the brightest young minds who have successfully navigated a rigorous multi-tier selection process.
Patna Event Details and Distinguished Presence
Addressing journalists during a press conference on Friday, state director of MY Bharat Kapil Dev Ram and PIB Patna deputy director Loukik Parakh revealed comprehensive event details. The program will unfold on April 12 and 13 at the prestigious Urja Auditorium in Patna, alongside simultaneous events in other participating states. Adding distinction to the occasion, Bihar governor Lt Gen (retd) Syed Ata Hasnain will grace the proceedings with his presence.
This collaborative initiative is being jointly organized by the state government of Bihar and the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, demonstrating a unified approach to youth empowerment and policy engagement at both state and national levels.
Thematic Discussions and Development Focus Areas
In Patna, selected participants will engage in thoughtful deliberations on two crucial development themes: 'Developed Agriculture: Strengthening Agriculture, Rural Economy, and Farmers' Welfare' and 'Human Capital: Investing in Education, Skill Development, and Employment'. These discussions aim to generate practical insights and youth perspectives that could potentially influence future policy directions.
Kapil Dev Ram emphasized that this initiative perfectly embodies the spirit of India's Amrit Peedhi—a generation that actively contributes to nation-building while maintaining deep respect for the country's rich cultural heritage and traditions.
Three-Phase Program Structure and Massive Participation
Based on the visionary framework of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India), the MY Bharat Budget Quest was executed through three distinct phases. The first phase featured a challenging national-level quiz competition, followed by an essay competition in the second phase that focused on nine specific development themes. The third and final phase, culminating on April 13, will feature direct interaction between selected participants and national leadership, including Prime Minister Modi.
The nationwide initiative has demonstrated remarkable reach and engagement, with participation from over 1.2 million enthusiastic youths and submission of more than 46,500 thoughtful essays across various development themes.
Empowering Youth in Policy Formulation Processes
Officials involved in organizing the event clarified that the primary objective is to actively involve young people in meaningful discussions related to the Union Budget 2026 and enable their constructive participation in the policymaking process. This represents a paradigm shift in how youth perspectives are incorporated into national planning and development strategies.
Kapil Dev Ram further elaborated that the program brings together exceptional young talents who have cleared a demanding national selection process and are now poised to engage on a significant national platform that values their insights and contributions.
Women's Youth Parliament: Amplifying Female Voices
As an integral component of the event, a special Women's Youth Parliament will be organized on April 12 under the powerful theme 'Nari Shakti: The Voice of a Developed India'. Female participants will conduct a parliamentary-style discussion focusing specifically on the Women's Reservation Bill, presided over by a woman Speaker. The session will conclude with the adoption of a formal resolution, symbolizing the collective voice and aspirations of young women across the nation.
This comprehensive youth engagement initiative represents a forward-looking approach to governance, where the energy, creativity, and perspectives of young Indians are harnessed to shape the nation's developmental trajectory and policy priorities for the coming years.
