Dr. Yadav highlighted that from December 2023 to April 2026, a total of 1.70 lakh couples have been married under the CM Kanya Vivah/Nikah Yojana. He stated that the scheme aims to provide financial assistance to families for their daughters' weddings, thereby reducing the burden of expenses and promoting social harmony.

Call for Social Responsibility

The Chief Minister stressed that every parent has a responsibility to ensure their daughters receive proper education. He encouraged families to prioritize spending on education and health over lavish weddings. Dr. Yadav also praised the participating families for choosing mass marriage ceremonies, which he described as a step towards a more equitable society.
