Telangana Indiramma Phase-II Housing Scheme Launch June 2

Hyderabad: Telangana Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced on Friday that the Congress government will launch the second phase of the Indiramma housing scheme on June 2. The announcement was made during a review meeting on the progress of the scheme.

Progress of Phase-I

The minister stated that out of the three lakh houses sanctioned under the first phase of the Indiramma housing scheme, construction has begun on 2.90 lakh houses. This represents a significant grounding rate of nearly 97 percent. Furthermore, as many as 50,000 housing units have been completely constructed, and beneficiaries have already performed housewarming ceremonies in these completed homes.

Government Commitment

Reddy emphasized the state government's commitment to providing affordable housing to the underprivileged. He said that the Congress government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, is dedicated to fulfilling the housing needs of the people. The phase-II launch on June 2 will further accelerate the goal of providing homes to all eligible beneficiaries.

The minister also directed officials to ensure timely completion of the remaining houses in phase-I and to identify beneficiaries for phase-II without any delays. He instructed them to maintain transparency in the selection process and to prioritize the most needy families.

With the launch of phase-II, the government aims to sanction additional houses and expand the scheme's coverage across the state. The Indiramma housing scheme is a flagship program of the Congress government, aimed at providing pucca houses to the poor and homeless.
