Massive Investments and Employment Generation Through MoUs

Officials revealed that the department has already secured 796 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) involving investments exceeding Rs 25,000 crore. These agreements are projected to generate nearly 60,000 employment opportunities throughout the state, significantly boosting the local economy.

During the event, an additional 59 fresh MoUs worth over Rs 3,000 crore were signed with prominent dairy industry players such as Ananda Dairy, Gyan Dairy, and Param Dairy. These new investments are expected to create approximately 13,000 new jobs, further amplifying the sector's impact on employment.

Substantial Economic Contribution and Beneficiary Support

A government spokesperson highlighted that the dairy sector contributes an estimated Rs 1.72 lakh crore to Uttar Pradesh's gross value addition, underlining its immense significance in the state's rural economic landscape. Under the Nand Baba Milk Mission, more than 10,000 beneficiaries have received Rs 84 crore through direct benefit transfers, providing crucial financial support to dairy farmers.

In a major boost to cooperative efforts, over 4,000 new primary dairy cooperative societies have been established across the state. This initiative benefits around 1.5 lakh dairy producers either directly or indirectly, enhancing their market access and economic stability.

The comprehensive approach outlined at the event demonstrates Uttar Pradesh's commitment to leveraging its dairy sector for sustainable rural development, economic growth, and improved livelihoods for millions involved in the industry.
