Lucknow: The ambitious Mukhyamantri Gram Parivahan Yojana in Uttar Pradesh, designed to ensure comprehensive bus connectivity to every village across the state, is poised to become operational starting in May. This significant rural transport initiative has garnered substantial interest from private operators, marking a crucial step toward enhancing mobility in remote areas.
Overwhelming Response from Private Operators
The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has reported receiving an impressive total of 1,010 applications from private bus operators by the deadline of March 28. These applications have been submitted from all 20 regions of the state, demonstrating widespread participation and enthusiasm for the scheme. Timeline for Implementation and Operational Start
According to Dayashankar Singh, the Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge), the selection process for these private operators will be meticulously completed throughout the month of April.
