In a significant breakthrough for public safety, Puri police have successfully rescued 142 missing minors and adult women over the past three months through their intensive district-wide initiative called 'Operation Chakra'. The drive, launched under the leadership of SP Prateek Singh, demonstrates a committed approach toward ensuring the timely recovery of every missing girl or woman within the district.
A Coordinated Police Effort
Superintendent of Police Prateek Singh revealed that Operation Chakra has been systematically implemented across all police stations with highly coordinated efforts. I instructed all IICs and OICs to prioritize every missing case, maintain constant communication with affected families, and intensify search operations through raids, interceptions, technical analysis and inter-state coordination, stated Singh, highlighting the comprehensive strategy behind the operation.
The effectiveness of this approach was demonstrated recently when authorities rescued four individuals on a single Tuesday. The rescues included three minors traced by Brahmagiri, Nimapada and Kakatpur police stations, along with one adult woman recovered by Satyabadi police.
