19 Arrested in Agra Road Crash Violence, One Dead

In Agra's Fatehabad area, nineteen individuals have been arrested in connection with the violence that erupted following a road accident on Monday. The incident left three people critically injured, and one of them, Manoj Kumar, later died from his injuries.

Protest Turns Violent

After Kumar's death, his family and local residents staged a protest by placing his body on the road and blocking traffic on the busy route. The protest escalated into violence as some individuals allegedly vandalized public property and clashed with police personnel. More than six police officers, including Fatehabad police station's Inspector (crime), Purrostam Pal, were injured.

Police Response

Police teams attempted to persuade the protesters to clear the road for traffic movement. However, officials stated that some anti-social elements exploited the situation and engaged in disruptive activities. An FIR was registered at Fatehabad against 35 named individuals and over 350 unidentified persons under relevant sections of the BNS, including unlawful assembly, rioting, attempt to murder, and voluntarily causing hurt.
