Two Lives Lost in Early Morning Expressway Tragedy
A devastating collision between a luxury bus and a stationary truck on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway resulted in two fatalities and left twenty people injured on Tuesday morning. The tragic incident occurred near Pinan Cut in the Rajgarh area of Alwar district, sending shockwaves through the local community and highlighting ongoing road safety concerns.
How the Accident Unfolded
The catastrophe struck around 6 am when a truck carrying a load of wood had pulled over due to a punctured tire. As the truck helper, Haroon (40) from Nuh, was changing the tire, a speeding luxury bus traveling from Delhi to Ahmedabad crashed into the stationary vehicle.
The impact was so powerful that the front portion of the bus was completely crushed, smashing into the back of the truck. The bus was carrying 36 passengers at the time of the accident, with those seated in the front section bearing the brunt of the impact and suffering the most severe injuries.
Rescue Operations and Medical Response
Immediately following the collision, chaos erupted on the busy highway. Police personnel and local residents quickly mobilized to pull out the injured passengers from the wrecked bus. The rescue team worked diligently to extricate those trapped in the damaged vehicle.
The injured were initially rushed to hospitals in Pinan and Rajgarh for emergency treatment. Among the critically injured was bus driver Bhairuram from Virat Nagar, who was later referred to Jaipur for advanced medical care. Several seriously injured passengers required transfer to Alwar district hospital for specialized treatment.
Tragically, bus conductor Roshan (30) from Kotputli and truck helper Haroon (40) lost their lives at the accident spot. Family members and relatives of the injured have since arrived at the various hospitals where victims are being treated.
Rajesh Meena, the in-charge of Rajgarh police station, confirmed the two fatalities and stated that all injured individuals have been admitted to different medical facilities. The police have launched a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident and whether driver fatigue or other factors contributed to this tragic event.
