The attackers allegedly fired four bullets at Abhitendra Singh Tomar before escaping. Police suspect the murder was carried out by Vishnu Yadav’s brother Gulshan Yadav and his aides after tracking Tomar’s movements.

Police said that Tomar was released from jail nearly four months ago and had shifted to Agrawal Colony in Indore, where he was involved in contract work. He was also previously associated with the sand business in Bhind.

Suspects Identified

Investigators suspect Gulshan Yadav, brother of deceased Vishnu Yadav, along with four others, was monitoring Tomar’s movements for several days before carrying out the attack.

Investigators have identified three suspects — Gaurav Jatav, Dillu Laharia and Gulshan.

Police Action

The DCP said four teams have been formed to work on technical evidence and track the suspects’ movements. Five empty cartridges were recovered from the spot. A reward of Rs 10,000 was also announced in connection with the case.

Police sources said Gulshan himself was absconding in an attempt-to-murder case in Bhind before allegedly arriving in Indore and orchestrating the killing.
