2.4 Lakh Candidates Appear for Gujarat Police Constable Exam

Gandhinagar: Approximately 2.4 lakh candidates appeared for the written examination conducted on Sunday for the recruitment of constables in the Gujarat state police force. The Gujarat Police Recruitment Board issued a statement confirming that out of the 2.6 lakh candidates shortlisted for the written test, 2.4 lakh (91%) attended the examination at centres located in Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Vadodara, Gandhinagar, and Anand.

Examination Arrangements

The examination was held across 879 centres in these cities. To ensure smooth conduct, over 17,000 education department employees and 9,000 police personnel were deployed. The board stated that the entire examination process was monitored through CCTV cameras installed at all centres. Candidates were allowed to enter the examination hall only after undergoing biometric verification.

Test Details and Result Process

The test carried a total of 200 marks. According to the board, the OMR sheets of all candidates will be uploaded on the recruitment board's official website within 24 hours of the exam. Candidates can download their OMR sheets from the website until June 29. The statement further emphasized that the recruitment process is being conducted transparently with strict security measures.
