Three-Year-Old Boy Strangled to Death in Medak Village

A shocking and brutal crime has shaken the Peddabai Thanda village in Medak district. A three-year-old boy was allegedly murdered by his own father on Sunday. The accused, Badavat Bhaskar (28), is currently on the run, prompting a massive police manhunt to apprehend him.

A History of Marital Discord and Violence

According to the Medak police, Bhaskar had been married to the child's mother for six years. The woman hailed from a nearby village. Investigators revealed that the couple's relationship was strained, marked by frequent quarrels. The situation had escalated to physical violence just days before the tragedy.

This past Friday, Bhaskar turned physically violent against his wife. The assault was severe enough that she required treatment at a government hospital. Following the incident, the woman left for her parents' home, leaving her young son in the care of his father for what was supposed to be a brief period.

Paternity Suspicions Lead to Fatal Attack

The child was with Bhaskar for only two days. During this short time, the man's long-held suspicions about the boy's paternity reportedly boiled over. Police officials stated that Bhaskar strangled the three-year-old with a rope, killing him, because he believed the child was biologically someone else's son.

Both Bhaskar and his wife worked as daily wage labourers in the construction sector. The Medak Rural Circle police station has registered a case under relevant sections of the law, and a further probe into the gruesome incident is underway.

The local community is in a state of shock and mourning following this heart-wrenching event. The police are intensifying their search operations to locate and arrest the accused father at the earliest.
