A tragic incident occurred in Nagpur's Bhagirathi Park area on Hingna Road on Friday afternoon, where a four-year-old boy lost his life after a parapet wall of an under-construction building collapsed on him during pre-monsoon rain and strong winds.
Incident Details
According to the police, the incident took place around 2:30 pm. The deceased, identified as Daivik Channe, a resident of Bhagirathi Park, was at the construction site of his uncle. The sudden collapse of the parapet wall caused severe head injuries to the child.
Medical Response
Daivik was immediately rushed to Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, where doctors fought to save his life. However, he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday at 12:15 pm, as confirmed by medical authorities.
Legal Action
An accidental death case has been registered at the MIDC police station. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter, with a primary focus on the structural safety of the under-construction building. Authorities are examining whether negligence or safety violations contributed to the collapse.
