Belagavi: In a major security concern, 59 live bullets were found in a garbage heap near Jain Heritage School in the Udyambag Industrial Area here on Tuesday.
Discovery by Civic Workers
The ammunition was spotted by civic workers during waste segregation, who immediately alerted the police. Officials from the Udyambag police station rushed to the spot, conducted an inspection and seized all the live bullets.
Preliminary Investigation
Preliminary investigations revealed that the objects came to light during routine waste segregation in the industrial area. Upon verification, they were confirmed to be live ammunition. Senior police officials were informed, and necessary precautionary measures were initiated.
