The young child, identified as Rishank, lost his life in the swimming pool while his family was momentarily absent, having stepped away to their room to change out of wet clothes.

The family, including Rohit Patil, his wife Asmita, their son Rishank, and a relative from Ambepur Malyan village, were visiting the Sea Sight Resort, which is owned by a family friend. After enjoying some time swimming in the pool, the parents left Rishank near the pool area as they went to change. Critically, there was no guard or staff member present at the time, raising immediate questions about safety protocols.
Rohit reportedly returned within minutes but was unable to locate his son. In a horrifying discovery, he noticed the child floating in the pool. Rishank was quickly pulled out of the water and rushed to Alibag Civil Hospital. Despite efforts, he was declared dead upon arrival, marking a profound loss for the family.

Alibag police inspector Kishor Sale confirmed that an accidental death report has been filed, and a thorough probe is currently underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
