Vadodara: The brother of an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate for the taluka panchayat election was allegedly assaulted by four persons near Karath village in Zalod taluka of Dahod district, police said.
The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon when Vinod Damor was resting under a tree with others after distributing pamphlets for his brother Alpesh, a candidate.
According to an FIR registered at Limdi police station, Vinod alleged that one Vinu Ninama objected to their presence and called others to the spot. Soon, two cars arrived and Vinu, along with Jignesh Ninama, Chirag Ninama and Rahul Ninama, allegedly assaulted him.
