Ahmedabad Labourer Stabbed to Death Over Rs 2 Lakh Loan Dispute
In a tragic incident in Ahmedabad, a 25-year-old daily wage labourer was stabbed to death allegedly by his friends near Vakil Saheb Bridge in Bopal on Tuesday midnight. The fatal confrontation reportedly stemmed from a dispute over a loan of Rs 2 lakh.
Police Register Murder Case and Launch Manhunt
Sarkhej police have registered a murder case and initiated a search for the accused individuals. The complaint was filed by the victim's cousin, Kishan Kalasua, on Wednesday, leading to immediate police action.
Victim Identified as Shiva Kalasua from Rajasthan
The deceased has been identified as Shiva Kalasua, a native of Dungarpur district in Rajasthan. He was residing in a rented house in South Bopal at the time of the incident.
Sequence of Events Leading to the Tragedy
According to the FIR, around midnight on Tuesday, Kishan received a call from his brother informing him that Shiva had been involved in a quarrel near Bopal bridge and was not responding to phone calls. Kishan and his wife rushed from Maninagar to Bopal, where they discovered that Shiva had been shifted to Saraswati Hospital. Doctors there declared him dead on arrival.
Medical Examination Reveals Multiple Stab Injuries
A preliminary medical examination revealed multiple stab injuries on Shiva's chest, back, and near his left ear, inflicted with a sharp weapon. These injuries were severe and led to heavy bleeding.
Details of the Fatal Confrontation
Police reports indicate that Shiva was sitting inside a vehicle parked under the bridge with acquaintances when he received a call from Narayan alias Rajkumar Verma seeking a meeting. Around 10:30 PM, Verma arrived with three men, including Sunil Khokaria. After a brief conversation, Shiva was called outside the vehicle, where an argument escalated into a physical assault.
Police stated that Verma and another accomplice allegedly held Shiva while Khokaria stabbed him repeatedly. Despite attempting to flee across the road, Shiva collapsed due to heavy bleeding, while the accused fled the scene.
Motive Behind the Murder
Police revealed that Khokaria had allegedly lent Rs 2 lakh to Shiva and was demanding repayment, which reportedly led to the fatal confrontation. The dispute over this significant amount of money turned violent, resulting in the tragic loss of life.
Legal Action and Ongoing Investigation
A case of murder has been registered against Sunil Khokaria and Narayan alias Rajkumar Verma. Further investigation is underway to apprehend the accused and gather more evidence related to the incident.
