Ahmedabad Man Assaulted After Objecting to Verbal Abuse

A 36-year-old resident of Vasna in Ahmedabad has lodged a police complaint alleging that he was assaulted by four acquaintances after he objected to repeated verbal abuse and mockery during an argument at a local ground.

Incident Details

According to the complaint filed with Vasna police, the incident occurred on Thursday when the complainant was sitting with a friend at a ground in the area. During their conversation, the friend allegedly began hurling insults and making casual abusive remarks. When the complainant objected, a heated argument ensued between the two.

The complainant alleged that the verbal altercation quickly turned physical, with the friend kicking and punching him. He further stated that the friend then called his relatives to the spot.

Assault by Multiple Accused

As per the complaint, the friend was soon joined by his relatives, who allegedly joined in the assault. One of the accused struck the complainant on his left knee and back with a wooden stick, while another attacked him with a sharp weapon, causing a bleeding injury on his left cheek.

The complainant stated that bystanders intervened, prompting the accused to flee the scene. He was rushed to Civil Hospital for treatment, after which he approached Vasna police and registered a complaint.
