Ahmedabad: Share Market Trader Found Dead in Parked SUV, Police Suspect Heart Attack

In a distressing incident on Thursday evening, a 45-year-old man was discovered deceased inside a parked SUV on the outskirts of Ahmedabad. The body was recovered from the vehicle, which was parked in an open plot along Science City Road in the Sola area, sending shockwaves through the local community.

Locals alerted the police after spotting a man lying motionless in the driver's seat of the vehicle. A team from the Sola police station responded promptly, finding the SUV locked with the man slumped inside. Upon forcing entry, officers confirmed that the individual was dead. The deceased was later identified as Harshad Prajapati, a share market trader residing in Shela village.

Police reported no visible injury marks on the body, and nothing suspicious was found either inside the vehicle or on the deceased. Sola police inspector K N Bhukan stated, "The body has been sent for a postmortem examination, and preliminary findings suggest a possible heart attack." He added that investigators are actively working to establish how Prajapati reached the location, who owns the vehicle, and whether he met anyone before his death.

Scene Draws Crowds and Raises Questions

The scene of the death attracted large crowds from nearby residential areas, with onlookers gathering as police conducted initial inquiries. The vehicle was parked in an isolated open plot near residential bungalows, raising significant questions about the circumstances leading to the man's presence there. This marks the second case in a week of a body found inside a car in Ahmedabad, heightening concerns among residents.

An accidental death case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to uncover more details.

Elderly Woman Found Dead Near Pond

In a separate incident on Friday morning, the body of an 85-year-old woman was discovered near a pond along the Sarkhej-Dholka Road. Locals noticed the body lying near the waterbody around 7 am and immediately informed the police. A team from the Sarkhej police station reached the spot, took custody of the body, and sent it for a postmortem examination.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased, identified as Samu Parmar, had been suffering from mental health issues for some time. Family members informed police that she left home around 4 am without informing anyone. Sarkhej police inspector L L Chavda noted, "Prima facie, it appears to be a case of accidental drowning. However, the exact cause of death will be confirmed by the postmortem examination." No external injury marks were found on the body, and there were no signs of foul play at the scene. The area around the pond has limited lighting and security, adding to the tragic circumstances. Police have registered a case of accidental death and are awaiting forensic findings.

Man Dies After Surviving Petrol Pump Accident

In another case, a 60-year-old man, identified as Amrut Kosti, was found dead near a temple in Ramol after reportedly being involved in an accident at a petrol pump where he worked. According to locals, Kosti was initially taken to a hospital following the incident. Police stated that Kosti returned home, claiming he was fine and his condition was not serious.

Hours later, Kosti was discovered dead, raising suspicions that the earlier petrol pump accident may have contributed to his death. Initially, he was found lying near the petrol pump. Ramol police inspector V D Mori said, "Police are investigating all angles. If the accident is established, traffic police will be asked to register a case. At present, we have filed a case of accidental death."

These incidents highlight a series of tragic deaths under investigation in Ahmedabad, with authorities working diligently to determine the exact causes and circumstances in each case.
