Ahmedabad Tea Vendor Shot in Fatehwadi: Police Register Attempt to Murder Case
In a shocking incident in Ahmedabad, a 41-year-old tea vendor was injured after being shot outside his stall in Fatehwadi during the early hours of Friday. The Vejalpur police have swiftly registered a case of attempt to murder against three individuals, with the main accused identified as Arbaaz, whose complete details are still under investigation by authorities.
Victim Undergoing Treatment at Sola Civil Hospital
The complainant, Mudassar Pathan, a resident of Labbaik Park in Fatehwadi, is currently receiving medical care at Sola Civil Hospital. According to his official statement, Pathan operates a tea stall near Ibrahim Masjid in the same locality. Doctors at the hospital have recommended surgery for the bullet injury he sustained, and his condition is reported to be stable at this time.
Sequence of Events Leading to the Shooting
As per the First Information Report (FIR) filed with the police, the conflict began four to five days prior to the shooting. Arbaaz and two of his associates allegedly gathered near Pathan's tea stall, leading to a confrontation when Pathan and a neighboring parlor owner, Faizan Diwan, asked them to leave the area. A heated argument ensued, during which the trio issued threats before departing from the scene.
The situation escalated dramatically around 1:30 AM on Friday when the three men returned. Arbaaz was armed with a pistol-like weapon, while the other two carried knives. They allegedly verbally abused Pathan and inquired about Faizan, explicitly stating their intention to kill both individuals. In a terrifying turn, Arbaaz reportedly fired at Pathan with the intent to kill. Although Pathan attempted to evade the attack, he suffered a bullet injury to his right foot. A second shot was allegedly fired at the tea stall itself.
Aftermath and Police Investigation
As local residents began to gather at the scene in response to the commotion, the accused fled the area. Pathan was promptly rushed to Sola Civil Hospital for emergency treatment. The Vejalpur police are actively investigating the case, focusing on apprehending the suspects and uncovering the full circumstances behind this violent assault.
