Family Tragedy and Financial Hardship
After her elopement, her father allegedly died by suicide, fearing social stigma. The family lost its primary earner and fell into serious financial distress. The woman later returned, acknowledging her mistake, but then fled again with the same youth.
Helpline Counselor's Account
A helpline counselor stated that the family reported the youth is from Delhi and connected with the woman via social media. He is unemployed and allegedly used her to extract money from her family. The family has refused to accept her, while the woman expressed no desire to return to her boyfriend and repeat the cycle. She has been placed in an observation home until the issue is resolved.
