Alwar Bomb Scare Ends with Controlled Blast, No Explosives Detected
A tense situation unfolded in Alwar on Monday when a suspicious object resembling a bomb was discovered in Vivekanand Nagar's Sector 4. The police swiftly responded, leading to a controlled explosion by a bomb disposal team from Jaipur. Authorities confirmed that no explosive material was found inside the object.
Panic Erupts After Mysterious Encounter
The incident began when an unidentified person approached Babu Singh's house in Vivekanand Nagar. The individual, with a muffler covering his face, engaged in an argument with Singh outside the residence. As locals gathered to witness the commotion, the stranger fled the scene. In his haste, a suspicious box with a timer fell from his clothing, sparking immediate alarm among the onlookers.
Police were alerted around 8 am. Officers quickly secured the area and transported the box to an open field near Jaysamand Dam in Alwar. They called for specialized assistance from the bomb disposal squad based in Jaipur.
Security Measures and Controlled Destruction
Authorities cordoned off the vicinity and evacuated residents as a precaution. Temporary restrictions were imposed on public movement to ensure safety. The bomb squad from Jaipur arrived promptly and conducted a thorough examination of the object.
During their detailed inspection, the team found no trace of explosive material. Despite this, they decided to proceed with a controlled blast to eliminate any potential risk. The operation was led by ASI Ramesh Chand, who supervised the destruction of the box.
Multiple police teams, including a dog squad and the bomb disposal unit, were present throughout the process. Officers maintained tight security arrangements and closely monitored the entire operation.
Return to Normalcy and Ongoing Investigation
Normalcy returned to the area after the controlled explosion was completed. ASI Ramesh Chand explained that the object was defused as a precautionary measure to avert any possible danger. "We took this step to ensure public safety," he stated.
Following the blast, samples were collected from the site. These will be sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for further analysis. The police continue to investigate the identity of the individual who left the suspicious box and the motives behind the incident.
