Following this, Tarara contacted SP Amit Kumar Anand, which resulted in the suspension of Maurya, town outpost in-charge Jugal Kishore, and constable Ankush Kumar on Monday.

In the aftermath, Tarara's supporters apprehended the two bikers: Rohit Kumar, a 23-year-old resident of Shahbazpur village, and Pradeep Kumar, a 30-year-old resident of Nadanore Mafi village. They were handed over to the police. A complaint was lodged by Tarara's supporter Satveer Singh, accusing the individuals of attempting to murder the MLA and trying to snatch a carbine from his security personnel.
Circle officer Pankaj Tyagi confirmed that a case has been registered against nine individuals, including two named and seven unidentified persons. The charges are under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including:
- Section 191(2): Rioting while armed with a deadly weapon
- Section 109(1): Attempt to murder
- Section 132: Assault or use of criminal force to deter a public servant from duty
- Section 351(3): Criminal intimidation
- Section 125(a): Endangering life or personal safety of others
- Section 309(5): Attempt to commit robbery, including attempts to snatch weapons or property by force
- Section 324(4): Causing mischief resulting in damage
