AP High Court Initiates Construction of Judges' Guest Houses in Visakhapatnam

In a significant development for judicial infrastructure, the Andhra Pradesh High Court has commenced the construction of guest houses for its judges in Visakhapatnam. Chief Justice Dheeraj Singh Thakur presided over the foundation stone-laying ceremony on Thursday, marking the official start of this project on a spacious five-acre site located in the Endada area of the city.

Traditional Ceremony Marks the Beginning

The groundbreaking event was conducted with Vedic chants and traditional rituals, adding a cultural and solemn touch to the proceedings. High Court judges Justice Ravinath Tilhari and Justice Ravi Cheemalapati were prominently present alongside Chief Justice Thakur, underscoring the importance of this initiative for the judiciary.

Following the rituals, the judges unveiled a commemorative plaque and symbolically initiated the construction process by laying cement and holding a spade. This act represented the formal commencement of the building work, which aims to provide modern and comfortable accommodation for judges visiting or stationed in Visakhapatnam.
