The First Information Report (FIR), pertaining to an incident that occurred on January 1, 2026, was registered only on January 3, 2026. In another significant action, Jogbani police station SHO Rajiv Kumar Azad and the additional SHO of the same station have been placed under suspension. This move comes amid allegations of collusion with smugglers operating in the region.
SP Kumar cited credible intelligence inputs indicating that certain police personnel had been extending undue favor to cross-border criminal networks. The suspensions aim to curb such illicit activities and restore integrity within the force.
Kuari Police Station SHO Suspended After Viral Video Scandal
SHO Prem Kumar of Kuari police station has also been suspended following a controversial incident. A video clip, which purportedly shows him in a compromising and objectionable situation with a woman constable, went viral on social media platforms.
This incident severely dented the public image of the police force, prompting swift disciplinary action. The suspension underscores the administration's zero-tolerance policy towards behavior that brings disrepute to law enforcement agencies.
New Postings and Continued Vigilance
To ensure uninterrupted law enforcement and maintain public trust, SP Jitendra Kumar has already posted new SHOs to the affected police stations. He emphasized that strict vigilance is being maintained across the district.
Any conduct that tarnishes the reputation of the police will invite stringent action, Kumar stated, reinforcing the commitment to uphold discipline and accountability within the ranks. This crackdown is part of broader efforts to enhance police efficiency and integrity in Araria.
