The arrested individual has been identified as self-styled Captain Chopsai Pansa, aged 56. A resident of Chop village under the Wakka circle in the neighbouring Longding district, Pansa was taken into custody around 1:30 PM on December 15. Following his apprehension by the Assam Rifles personnel, Pansa underwent preliminary questioning.
