Lucknow: In a daring heist, five armed robbers allegedly stormed into a petrol pump late Monday night in the Mahigawan area, held the watchman at gunpoint, and fled with cash and valuables, police said on Wednesday.
Details of the Incident
The incident took place at Kamla Fuel Connect Petrol Pump under the jurisdiction of Mahigawan Police Station. According to police, the robbers, armed with weapons, barged into the petrol pump premises at night and allegedly held the watchman hostage before carrying out the loot. The accused reportedly broke open the cash counter lock and escaped with cash, a mobile phone, wristwatch, and purse.
Police Response
Upon receiving information, teams from the local police station rushed to the spot and began an investigation. Senior officials also visited the site to assess the situation.
