Pune: In a daring robbery early Sunday, three men riding a motorcycle snatched an Army captain's cellphone near Wakad bridge. The officer was in the middle of a conversation with his wife, who was traveling from Karnataka to Pune. He had gone to pick her up.
Incident Details
The robbery case was registered at the Hinjewadi police station. According to a police officer, the complainant was waiting along the Katraj-Dehu Road Bypass near Wakad bridge around 5am on Sunday. While he was talking to his wife on his cellphone, three men on a motorcycle snatched the handset, valued at Rs 15,000, and fled towards Pune.
Investigation Underway
The officer said the complainant provided a detailed description of the suspects. Our investigation is underway, he added.
