In a concerning development in Agra, a sevayat and member of the high-powered management committee of the Shri Banke Bihari Temple has formally requested police protection. This request follows serious allegations that he was threatened at his residence by women from a sevayat family who oppose the proposed Banke Bihari Corridor project.

An FIR has been officially registered in this matter, marking a significant step in addressing the security concerns raised. DSP Sadar Pitam Pal Singh confirmed the ongoing investigation, stating, "The matter is under investigation. An FIR has been registered, and action will be taken as per law." The complainant, Dinesh Goswami, has expressed grave fears for his life, leading him to announce that he will skip the committee meeting scheduled for February 17 due to security concerns. According to his complaint, the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when women entered his house, abused his tenant, and issued direct threats.
Goswami provided CCTV footage and videos to the police as evidence, which allegedly show the women entering his residence and a beauty parlour operating from the ground floor. In his account, the women questioned his tenant about his whereabouts, threatened to kill him, and warned him against involvement in matters related to the proposed corridor.
Furthermore, Goswami alleged that these women have been raising slogans against the government and the committee on the temple chabutra for several weeks, actions he claims are intended to mislead the public and disrupt the corridor planning process.

In response to these serious accusations, the women named in the complaint have firmly denied the allegations. They assert that they went to Goswami's residence only to seek clarifications regarding the corridor project and that the incident is being exaggerated.
