In a significant breakthrough, Bansur police have successfully cracked a shocking daylight gang war that erupted between two rival factions in Bansur town, located in Rajasthan's Kotputli-Behror district. The violent confrontation that occurred two days ago has led to the arrest of four accused individuals and the seizure of a Mahindra Thar used during the brutal attack.
Police Investigation and Arrests
According to Bansur DSP Megha Goyal, the case involved multiple complaints from both sides. Ashok Gurjar filed a case of murderous assault and firing against Vinod Poswal and his associates, while a counter-case was registered by Ashok Poswal against Anil and his group. The police have made substantial progress in the investigation with the arrest of four individuals: Anil Poswal (21), Bhimraj Gurjar (21), Ghanshyam Gurjar (21), and Ashok Gurjar (27).
Notably, a reward of Rs 15,000 had been announced earlier for the capture of Bhimraj and Ghanshyam Gurjar. Police authorities confirmed that intensive efforts are currently underway to apprehend the remaining accused involved in this violent incident.
The Daylight Attack Unfolds
The investigation revealed chilling details of the attack, with CCTV footage playing a crucial role in identifying the attackers. The video evidence showed three youths traveling on a motorcycle toward the main road when assailants in a Thar and a Swift car deliberately rammed into their bike in an attempt to run them over.
The victims identified as Mahipal Gurjar and Ghanshyam Gurjar from Majra Rawat village, along with Kalu Machi from Machi village, had visited a dhaba near 132 GSS on Harsaura Road for dinner on Wednesday evening. As they exited the premises, the Thar and Swift vehicles approached at high speed, with the Thar hitting their motorcycle head-on, causing all three to fall from the vehicle.
Escalation of Violence and Aftermath
The situation rapidly escalated when one of the victims, MP Gurjar, pulled out a pistol and opened fire at the attackers. In retaliation, the Swift vehicle executed a U-turn and struck him again, forcing him to climb onto a nearby wall while continuing to fire at his assailants.
The attackers then exited their vehicles and proceeded to attack the motorcycle with axes and stones. Despite the brutal assault, all three youths managed to escape from the scene, though the incident triggered widespread panic throughout the area.
Police officials indicated that the violence appears connected to a long-standing rivalry between Mahipal Gurjar and Vinod Poswal. The use of vehicles as weapons and the brazen daytime execution of the attack has raised serious concerns about law and order in the region.
