Tragic Death of Bareilly Youth During Social Media Video Shoot
A 22-year-old man from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, lost his life in a devastating accident while attempting to film a social media reel at a construction site. The incident occurred on Friday near an under-construction flyover, casting a somber light on the perils associated with risky content creation for online platforms.
Details of the Fatal Incident
Mohd Faizan, a barber by profession and resident of Richhola Kifayatullah village, visited the construction site with his friend Anuj Gangwar around 4:30 PM. According to preliminary reports, Faizan climbed onto a high support wall at the edge of the bridge to pose for the video being recorded by Gangwar. In a tragic turn of events, he allegedly lost his balance and fell into a field below.
The situation worsened when a heavy concrete slab collapsed on him following the fall. Locals and construction workers rushed to the spot after hearing Gangwar's desperate cries for help. An earth-moving machine was immediately called to the scene to lift the slab, but the rescue operation faced significant delays.
Rescue Efforts and Aftermath
It took nearly half an hour for responders to remove the debris and lift the concrete slab. By the time they reached Faizan, he was found dead at the scene. The young man was the fifth among six siblings, leaving his family and community in profound grief.
SSP Bareilly Anurag Arya confirmed that authorities are investigating the matter thoroughly. "We are looking into the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident," Arya stated, emphasizing the need for proper safety measures at construction sites.
