Barwani Police Arrest Man for Brutal Murder of Neighbor Over Suspected Affair
In a shocking incident in Barwani district, police have apprehended a man for the alleged murder of his neighbor, driven by suspicions of an illicit relationship with his wife. The arrest was made on Friday, following a violent attack that resulted in the death of 45-year-old Nilesh Bhawsar, a local dhaba owner.
Details of the Fatal Assault
The tragic event unfolded on Thursday around 2:30 PM in Balwadi town, under the jurisdiction of the Warla police station. According to authorities, the accused, identified as Manoj Birare, arrived on a motorcycle and deliberately struck Nilesh Bhawsar as he was heading towards his dhaba. The impact knocked the victim to the ground, after which Birare launched a brutal assault using bricks and stones, specifically targeting Bhawsar's head and face.
Family members and local residents rushed the injured man to the government hospital in Warla, but doctors declared him dead upon arrival. The severity of the attack left little chance for survival, highlighting the ferocity of the crime.
Police Investigation and Arrest
Following a formal complaint lodged by the deceased's son, Ved, a murder case was registered at the Warla police station. A dedicated police team swiftly initiated an investigation, collecting crucial evidence from the crime scene. With assistance from the cyber cell, authorities were able to trace the location of the accused.
Subsequently, a raid was conducted in the Chopda area, specifically in Pathrada, Maharashtra, leading to the arrest of Manoj Birare. Senior District Officer of Police (SDOP) Sendhwa, Ajay Waghmare, confirmed the arrest and stated that Birare was produced before the court and subsequently sent to jail.
Motive Behind the Murder
SDOP Waghmare revealed that the primary motive for the murder was the accused's deep-seated suspicion of an illicit relationship between the deceased and his wife. This suspicion had reportedly been a source of ongoing conflicts between the two men prior to the fatal incident. The police investigation suggests that these tensions ultimately escalated into the violent confrontation that claimed Nilesh Bhawsar's life.
