Bee Attack at Government School in Dindigul

Dindigul: A teacher and 13 students were injured after a swarm of bees attacked them at a government high school in Komanampatti near Natham on Friday. The incident occurred when students were leaving the school after classes. According to school authorities, a beehive attached to a window near a classroom was disturbed, triggering the attack.

Injured Rushed to Hospital

The injured teacher, Shanthi, 53, and 13 students were rushed to the Government Hospital in Natham for treatment. One girl student, who sustained multiple bee stings, was later referred to the Government Rajaji Hospital in Madurai for advanced treatment. The condition of the other victims was reported to be stable.

Safety Measures Initiated

Officials visited the school and initiated measures to remove the remaining bees and ensure the campus was safe for students. The school authorities are taking steps to prevent such incidents in the future.
