The victim has been identified as Priyanshu Kumar, who was also known by the alias Badal. He was a resident of Bara village, which falls under the same police station area.

Describing Priyanshu's character, Rajnish mentioned, "He was very polite and seldom picked a dispute." The victim's mother is a schoolteacher, and he was the youngest among his five brothers, adding to the family's profound grief.
