During investigation, police zeroed in on the domestic help, who had been working with the family for the past few months. She was taken into custody and interrogated. According to police, she admitted to stealing the items over a period of time.

Confession and Recovery

“She confessed to the crime and revealed where she had hidden the stolen goods. We have recovered most of the items,” a police officer said. The stolen articles were found in her possession and at her residence. Police are probing whether she had any accomplices.

The accused has been charged with theft and criminal breach of trust. She was produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody.
