In a shocking case of domestic violence and deception, Bengaluru police have apprehended a 64-year-old man for the alleged murder of his wife, a government school teacher. The accused, identified as Anant, is accused of brutally assaulting his spouse and then attempting to disguise the homicide as a tragic road accident.

The grim incident unfolded near an under-construction building in the Mittiganahalli–Bagalur area of the city. According to the police investigation, Anant, a private company employee, allegedly assaulted his wife, Gayatri. After she collapsed, he called an ambulance and moved her to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries on Saturday.
