Bengaluru: Police have exhumed the body of a 40-year-old man, who died in March of a suspected heart attack, and sent it for postmortem to determine the real cause of death. Imtiyaz Pasha had collapsed at his Rameshnagar residence after dinner. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His wife, Nasira Bhanu, informed relatives that Pasha complained of severe chest pain before his death. Pasha was subsequently buried in the local cemetery.
Brother Raises Suspicions
However, Pasha's younger brother, Yonus, recently approached the HAL police, expressing doubts about the death. "I have found that Nasira Bhanu wanted to marry her friend, Aslam. Therefore, there is every possibility of my brother being killed in his house," Yonus told the police.
Exhumation and Investigation
Acting on the complaint, authorities exhumed Pasha's body on Thursday. Experts from Bowring Hospital collected bone, skull, and viscera samples for analysis. "Once we determine the cause of death, we can decide the future course of action," an investigating officer stated.
The case has raised questions about the circumstances surrounding Pasha's death. Police are now awaiting forensic reports to ascertain whether it was a natural death or a homicide. Further investigations are underway.
